Carlo Benedetti compie gli studi nella scuola di pianoforte di Lethea Cifarelli presso il Conservatorio “A. Casella” dell’Aquila, dove attualmente è docente di pianoforte. Tiene corsi di perfezionamento, Masterclass

e seminari per diversi Enti, Associazioni, Università e Conservatori in Italia e all’estero.

Inizia la sua attività concertistica ancora diplomandoriscuotendo consensi di pubblico e di critica.Nel corso di una brillante tournée nell’ex Unione Sovietica suona in sedi prestigiose quali l’Istituto musicale “Gnesinji”, la Casa Centrale degli Artisti e la Casa dell’Amicizia di Mosca, i Conservatori di San Pietroburgo e di Riga. Ha effettuato concerti in Europa, America Latina, Australia, Medio Oriente. Alcuni dei suoi concerti tenuti in prestigiose sale a Sydney, Melbourn, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, sono stati ripresi da emittenti televisive nazionali.

Attento interprete lisztiano, esegue diversi programmi incentrati sulla musica del compositore ungherese. Nel 2005 suona per l’Istituto Liszt di Bologna il programma “il pre-testo religioso nella musica di Liszt e Messiaen” e figura come interprete all’interno della raccolta di brani “Reminiscenze e fantasie” incisa a cura dello stesso Istituto e distribuita in allegato al “Giornale della musica” aprile 2008 e al mensile “Classic Voice” marzo 2011.

Molto attivo anche come compositore, negli ultimi anni ha scritto le musiche di scena di diversi lavoriteatrali, collaborando con autori e registi quali R. Russo, A. Chiummarello, T. Panici, R. Capitani ed altri. Ha scritto e realizzato le musiche per opere multimediali (“La favola della vita” su testi di A. Scocchera), istallazioni (“Rosso su carta”, Sculture di S. Bonetti, Video di E. Gaeng; Priscilla, su testi di T. Stazio), Video-arte,docufiction e documentari (Geo&Geo RAI 3) in collaborazione con la regista ElfriedeGaeng.

Ha composto ed eseguito “Spartito per Tommaso Cascella” presso l’Università Roma3, in occasione della mostra dell’artista per le celebrazioni del ventennale della fondazione dell’Università.

È autore delle musiche per le letture-concerto “Con il sole negli occhi” tratto dall’omonimo romanzo di E. Gaeng e”Nero su Bianco” su testi di SaraBonetti, più volte eseguite in pubblico, che lo vedono impegnato anche come pianista.

attended his piano studies with Lethea Cifarelli at the Alfredo Casella Conservatoire of L’Aquila, where he is currently a piano teacher. He holds training courses and Masterclasses for various Institutions in Italy and abroad.

Carlo began his concert activity while still graduating, gaining acclaim by audiences and critics.

During a brilliant tour in the former Soviet Union he played in prestigious halls such as the “Gnesinji” Music Institute, the “Central House of Artists” and the “House of Friendship” in Moscow, the Conservatoires of St. Petersburg and Riga. He was invited to perform in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Australia, where some of his concerts, held in prestigious halls in Sydney, Melbourn, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, have been filmed by national television.

Liszt interpreter for many years, Carlo performed various programs on the Hungarian composer’s music, among others: in 1996 in Hungary he played the Troisième Année de pèlerinage, in 2005 for the Liszt Institute of Bologna the program “the religious pre-text in the music of Liszt and Messiaen”. He appears as an interpreter in the collection of songs “Reminiscences and fantasies”recor ded by the Liszt Institute and distributed as an attachment to the “Giornale della musica” April 2008 and the monthly “Classic Voice” March 2011.

Carlo is also a composer, in recent years he has written the incidental music for various theatrical works, collaborating with authors and directors such as R. Russo, A. Chiummarello, T. Panici, R.

Capitani and others. He has written and created the music for multimedia works (The fairy tale of life on texts by A. Scocchera), installations (Rosso su carta, Sculptures by S. Bonetti, Videos by E.

Gaeng; Priscilla, on texts by T. Stazio), Video-art, docufiction and documentaries (Geo&Geo RAI3) in collaboration with the director Elfriede Gaeng.

Carlo composed and performed Spartito per Tommaso Cascella at the Roma3 University, on the occasion of the artist’s exhibition for the celebrations of the twentieth anniversary of the foundation of the University. He is the author of the music for the reading-concert Con il sole negli occhi based on the homonymous novel by E. Gaeng and Nero su Bianco based on texts by Sara Bonetti, who have seen him several times also engaged as a pianist.
